Our Holiday Trimming Challenge is a health initiative designed to create awareness and help you stay healthy during the Holidays. On your journey to the North Pole, you will have access to resources to help you choose the healthy path for you. Holiday Trimmings Challenge also offers an encouraging community to help you to build successful habits and a healthy lifestyle.
Holiday Trimming Challenge: Race to the North Pole is a 4-week accountabilitya nd motivation program designed to keep you on track during the holiday season. Participants will complete exercise and social responsibility challenges that earn them “miles” along their 3,400-mile trip from Kokomo to the North Pole. Every 850 miles a person earns, they will get an entry into a drawing for a 6-month membership to the Y. If participants make it all the way to the North Pole, they will earn FOUR entries into the grand prize drawing! Registration includes a super-soft HTC T-shirt!

How to Track
HTC Point System
During your 4-week race to the North Pole, you will complete exercise and social responsibility challenges that earn "miles" along the 3,400-mile trip from Kokomo to the North Pole. For every 850 miles you earn, you will receive an entry into a drawing for a 6-month membership to the Y. If you make it all the way to the North Pole, you will earn FOUR entries into the grand prize drawing! Use the Track Pack-It booklet to log your points! You will recieve this booklet when you stop by the YMCA and register! You will need to turn in your Track Pack-It after HTC has comepleted- so don't lose it! This year we will also have opportunities for you to "double your miles". These opporutnies will be classes, challenges, and more!
"Miles" for a Group Fitness Class at the YMCA (includes virtual)
"Miles" for a 30-minute Workout at home or YMCA (excludes classes)
Miles for Participating in social responsibility or donation challenge (1 per week)
Miles for posting a workout selfie and tagging Kokomo YMCA on social media (1 per day)
Miles for participating (like/post/or share) in the online social media support group (1 per day)
